Formerly The Allen Arms, The Counting House, No Man is an Island, The Hub and in July 2011, The White Crow.

Was owned/operated by West Street Brewery from (1876)-1929 then by Tamplin and Sons Ltd from 1929-1931.[1]

The publican/landlord was listed as Henry Head in directories from 1854 and 1855, G Beckett in 1859 and H Scriven in 1866. John Weir is listed in a directory from 1878 and he and his family (along with potman Frederick Stevens and domestic servant Elizabeth Powell) are mentioned in the 1881 census. Directories show Philip Podesta in 1899, Edward Salvage in 1913 and Tom Plummer in 1915. Mrs Beatrice Plummer is shown in directories from 1918, 1930 and 1938.[2]
